Health and Safety Support for Employers

What health and safety support do businesses need?

The Health and Safety at Work Act states that it is the duty of the employer to ensure the safety and well-being of their employees. This includes appointing a ‘competent person’ in the role of assisting with health and safety matters.

With the right health and safety practices and procedures in place, you can severely reduce the risk of an accident at work and even, potentially, save the lives of your employees.

Health and safety can be an exhaustive issue for employers, and without the right knowledge and qualifications, you can quickly find yourself overwhelmed with HSE assessments and documentation that you can’t complete or keep up to date with on your own.

Health and safety in the workplace should always be treated as a top priority and with external health and safety support from our qualified health and safety consultants, you will be fulfilling your legal obligation and appointing us as your ‘competent person’. You’ll even have the necessary certification to prove it.

What health and safety services do we offer employers?

Our health and safety consultancy services provide you with the ‘competent person’, required by law, in the form of one of our qualified consultants to oversee the management of health and safety in your workplace.

We begin by ensuring that your business is fully compliant with current legislation. This typically starts with a HSE risk assessment and method statement, and a site audit to highlight any areas of the business that may need improvement; for example, lack of fire extinguishers or hazardous substances that need assessing.

Your dedicated health and safety consultant will then write up any necessary reports and documentation on your behalf to include your company branding and logo, then provide them via email so that you can access them with ease and at your own leisure.

Our health and safety services don’t end there. If you opt for ongoing support we will update you every month in regards to any changes to legislation that you need to be aware of, as well as providing you with access to our 24-hour advice line.

Need some advice and support when it comes to health and safety?

Our health and safety consultancy service includes, but is not limited to:

    • Our health and safety advice line offering unlimited support over the phone or via email from your experienced health and safety consultant.
    • Onsite visits to conduct risk assessments such as fire risk assessment, machinery risk assessment, COSHH risk assessment, first aid needs assessment and manual handling risk assessment to name but a few areas.
    • An electronic and hard copy of the above assessments with a full colour coding action plan of guidance on the high, medium and low points of action.
    • An annual review of these assessments.
    • An audit of your current health and safety policy, or a bespoke policy tailored to your business.
