Management

Brendan Wincott

Qualifications: 

  • LLB Law Degree 
  • PG Dip LPC Legal Practice Course 
  • LLM Masters in Employment Law 
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate 
  • Level 4 Interpersonal Mediation Practitioner’s Certificate 

Experience:

Brendan has a wealth of knowledge and experiences thanks to his many years as an employment law consultant for various renowned consultancies throughout the UK. He specialises in TUPE, having undertaken his Master’s dissertation on the subject and receiving exceptional results. Brendan was one of the founding partners of Guardian Support before taking a step back in 2016 from day-to-day operations to a more strategic role. 

Role: 

Brendan has ultimate responsibility for the overall management of the company. He takes on a strategic role, continually monitoring the business activity to ensure clients receive the best possible services while overseeing the overall business performance. He does have a small portfolio of clients that he looks after himself, but he is also on hand to take any issues from clients that either their consultant needs help answering or that are escalated from his Operations Director.

Wendy Curlett

Qualifications:

  • Associate CIPD
  • National Examining Board in Supervisory Management (NEBSM)

Experience:

Wendy joined the business with over 15 years of HR experience at a Senior Level, seven years of which within a similar consultancy setting. She has extensive in-depth knowledge of and passion for employment law and complex employee relations case management.

Her ability to offer practical, pragmatic option-based solutions to enquiries tailored to specific business needs in various settings is second to none.

Role: 

Wendy oversees the day-to-day management of the operational delivery of our HR, H&S and training services. She also manages our team of experienced consultants with a personable and approachable attitude that creates a warm working environment.

She is the main point of contact when it comes to client feedback and service alterations, and she also oversees the customer care and renewal process whilst retaining a client base of her own.

Wendy offers top-quality HR and Employment Law support but excels in assisting clients with their employment documentation, helping them review and draft contracts and handbooks. Wendy will also frequently attend client meetings on-site and help facilitate formal meetings, such as disciplinary and grievances.


HR Consultants

Pamela Obedun

Qualifications: 

  • BSc Combined Social Sciences (Sociology)
  • MSc in HR Management
  • CIPD Level 7
  • Associate CIPD

Experience:

Pamela has worked within HR for several years and has built up much of her experience in Housing and Care settings. She has experience working with and providing advice to all levels of management and providing varied support and guidance as required.

Pamela has commercial awareness and a practical approach to dealing with a broad spectrum of Employee Relations and Human Resource issues. 

Role: 

Pamela provides expert advice on both day-to-day employee relations queries and more complex situations across various sectors.

She offers guidance and support through processes to ensure that clients are compliant with legislation and employment law. She enjoys getting to know a client’s business and priorities well to ensure that the advice given is appropriate and personalised. This enables Pamela to also build strong relationships with clients and ensure that she always provides excellent customer service.

Pamela can provide a variety of support and guidance through HR processes and facilitate formal meetings such as disciplinary and grievances on your behalf as and when required.

Pamela is on maternity leave from March 2023.

Laura Everall

Qualifications: 

  • Foundation Degree in Human Resource Management CIPD Level 5
  • Certificate in Human Resource Management
  • Certificate in Human Resource Practice CIPD Level 3

Experience:

Laura has worked within HR for around seven years, gaining a wealth of experience and knowledge within different industries, including Social Care, Manufacturing, Logistics and Non for Profit.

Laura has experience in a wide range of ER issues, including but not limited to employee relations, including complex and high-risk cases, employee engagement, TUPE and changes to terms & conditions, just to name a few. 

Role: 

Laura provides expert advice on both day-to-day employee relations queries and more complex situations across a variety of sectors. She offers guidance and support through processes to ensure that clients are compliant with legislation and employment law.

She enjoys getting to know a client’s business and priorities fully to ensure that the HR advice she shares is fully applicable and actionable. This enables Laura to also build strong relationships with clients and ensure that she always provides excellent customer service.

Laura, like Pamela, can provide a variety of support and guidance through HR processes as well as being able to facilitate formal meetings such as disciplinary and grievances on your behalf as and when required.

Tina Keogh

Qualifications: 

  • Human Resource Management Degree BA (hons)
  • Certificate in Human Resource Management – CIPD level 7
  • Associate CIPD

Experience:

Tina has worked previously across many sectors, and spent over seven of these years within the construction industry, where Tina operated as group HR & Payroll manager. Having variation in different sectors has provided exposure to understanding and learning how to meet business needs. She is disciplined in HRM, has continuously updated her qualifications and learning, and is been fantastic at providing guidance to managers, supervisors and employees. Tina is intent on providing practical support and timely advice and forging good working relationships. 

Role: 

Tina provides advice on employee relations queries and more complex situations. She offers guidance and support through processes to ensure that clients are compliant with legislation and employment law. Tina aims to also build strong relationships with clients and ensure that she always provides excellent customer service. 

Tina can provide a variety of support and guidance through HR processes as well as being able to facilitate formal meetings such as disciplinary and grievances on your behalf as and when required.

Harjit Sidhou

Qualifications: 

  • CIPD Member

Experience:

Harj has been with Guardian Support for over five years, having joined us with several years of experience within HR. She comes from a background of working for different organisations as an HR Contractor, which has enabled her to understand how different industries operate and provided her with opportunities to learn, develop and apply her knowledge in ways suited to individual business needs.

She also holds extensive experience in providing line managers with HR support and guidance in various disciplines, such as Employment Law, Employee Relations and general day-to-day HR issues.Prior to working in HR, Harj worked within the recruitment industry, where she built long-lasting relationships.

Role: 

Harj offers quality Employment Law and HR support to clients. This ranges from providing clients with appropriate HR support, updating procedures and policies in line with new legislation, assisting clients to review and draft employment documentation and providing day-to-day advice on all aspects of HR good practice and Employment Law.She also offers on-site support to clients to assist with formal meetings such as Disciplinary and Grievances.


Health and Safety Consultants

John Clark

Qualifications: 

  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety 
  • IOSH Managing safely 
  • ISOH Coaching for Safety 
  • IEMA Environmental Management

Experience:

John is a professionally qualified and enthusiastic Health and Safety Practitioner with over 10 years of health and safety experience, predominantly within the Manufacturing and Engineering environments, and CDM in the automotive sector. He spent five years in a Managerial position previously and offers exceptional advice and support to managers.

Role: 

John joined Guardian Support in 2020 as an enthusiastic and passionate health and safety consultant. His role is to assist our diverse client base with the compilation and maintenance of health and safety management systems. His experience and knowledge allow him to conduct thorough audits, assessments, and inspections, as well as offer professional advice and support to his clients whenever they need it.

Lydia Benham

Qualifications: 

  • NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety – with credit 
  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management – with distinction 
  • Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management 
  • Level 3 award in Education and Training

Experience:

Lydia has worked in Health and Safety for eight years, gaining a wealth of hands-on experience and knowledge within different industries, including construction, laboratories, manufacturing, hospitals, schools, automotive and offices.

Role: 

Lydia enjoys getting to know a client’s business and its people to be able to provide appropriate and personalised advice and support. This enables Lydia to build strong relationships with clients at all levels within the business so she can provide excellent service. 
Lydia can provide a variety of support and guidance with regard to health and safety management, inclusive of fire management and training.

Jerome Robinson

Qualifications: 

  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
  • NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management

Experience:

Jerome has worked in Health and Safety for five and a half years, gaining experience and knowledge in different industries, including large government offices. He has also been responsible for the health, safety and welfare of 1600 staff.

Role: 

Jerome has experience in a wide range of health and safety processes and carries out many H&S functions, including but not limited to conducting various types of risk assessments, accident investigations, creating policies and guidance and Health and Safety management audits.
