Get your workplace COVID-19 secure as you prepare to re-open with this essential health and safety package.

On Monday 23rd March 2020, the UK Government announced a national lockdown which saw all non-essential schools, businesses and workplaces shut their doors under the ‘stay home’ order with the aim of ‘flattening the curve’ and preventing the rapidly increasing number of COVID-19 cases and deaths from overwhelming the NHS.

As we overcame the peak and started to see numbers decline (almost two months later) the UK prepared to move into the beginning stages of returning to some semblance of normality in what is being called ‘Our Plan To Rebuild’.

As a result, businesses and workplaces are starting to prepare to re-open, but under strict guidelines from scientists, health professionals and the Government as to what employers need to do to control the spread of COVID-19 on their premises.

It’s vital that these measures are understood and put into place before workers, customers and visitors can walk through the doors of your establishment to ensure that they are not put at, potentially fatal, risk.

Furthermore, Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has promised that HSE visits will increase in order to make sure that businesses are complying to these new guidelines and taking the threat of COVID-19 seriously.

What is our COVID-19 Secure Package?

In order to assist businesses and employers in getting COVID-19 secure, we have compiled some professional services and quality products that we feel are essential in protecting workers and the public, and keeping workplaces safe.

Our COVID-19 Secure Package includes all of the following for just £195 + VAT:

COVID-19 Risk Assessment Template

This generic risk assessment template has been written up by one of our health and safety consultants and clearly outlines the hazards that need to be assessed within your workplace in relation to COVID-19, and suggests various precautionary measures that can be implemented in order to control these risks.

This risk assessment mirrors the sector guidance from the Government but will need adjustments to be site specific.

Alternatively, we can create a bespoke risk assessment for you at an additional cost (please see full details below).

COVID-19 Policy

Every workplace should have a professional health and safety policy in place for all major risks, including a pandemic. This will ensure that your procedures and expectations are clear to all employees should there be a pandemic so that they can act quickly and effectively; lessening the potential damage that it could cause within your workplace.

Our expert consultants have written up a thorough policy, specific to the coronavirus pandemic but that can be used to help create a more general pandemic policy, which details the steps that should be taken to prevent an outbreak and control the spread of the virus without causing too much disruption to productivity.
The policy supports advice from WHO and Public Health England, as well as Government guidance, and will help satisfy your legal duty of care as an employer.

Washing Hands Sign

Good personal hygiene should have been normal practice in workplaces long before this pandemic; however, it is more important than ever to be extra vigilant, especially when it comes to hand-washing, as this is the most effective way to protect yourself from COVID-19.

This sign is the perfect way to remind employees, customers and visitors to wash their hands thoroughly and regularly and should be displayed in an area where washing facilities are present, such as the toilets or kitchen.

This sign comes in a size 400mm x 600mm on 1mm rigid plastic and is pictured below.

Social Distancing Sign

One of the biggest changes that workplaces will have to grow accustomed to is the social, or physical, distancing that we need to maintain for the foreseeable future. This means keeping, at least, a 2-metre distance from one another at all times.

This is due to the fact that coronavirus is primarily transmitted through respiratory droplets that can travel a distance of up to 1-metre; hence, if an infected person is in close contact with a healthy person and the person with COVID-19 coughs, sneezes or speaks to the other person, they could expose them to the virus.

This bold sign clearly communicates the message of social distancing to your employees, customers and visitors and acts a constant reminder of the steps that we need to continue to take to overcome this pandemic.
