Due to maternity leave, we are seeking to recruit a HR Consultant to join our team of experienced HR professionals, to provide commercial, pragmatic and professional advisory services to our national client base.
The HR Consultant will provide expert and bespoke advice and support to a dedicated portfolio of nationwide clients via telephone, email and/or face to face, on matters including disciplinary and grievance, performance management, sickness absence issues, TUPE & Redundancies.
You will also coach, support and develop clients on all areas of HR/Employment Law, including delivering training if required; draft and review contractual documentation, including employment contracts, employee handbooks, apprenticeship agreements, and self-employed contracts; and, attend new business prospect meetings in order to promote and sell our services.
Is this position for you?
The successful applicant will have:
- Minimum of CIPD Level 5, but ideally Level 7 CIPD, LLB or similar qualification
- Good understanding and knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application
- Previous experience of hands on HR Management
- Previous experience of dealing with complex Employee Relations issues
- Well organised and customer focused
- Experience of preparation and representation at Employment Tribunals would also be advantageous although not essential.
Whilst initially based in Birmingham, with the potential to work from home, you will also be required to travel throughout the UK and therefore it is imperative that you hold a valid, UK driving licence and your own vehicle.
The role will initially be until December with the potential for extension dependent on business growth.
